These untreated cedar soap decks are handcrafted from reclaimed American cedar lumber, and are an eco friendly way to preserve the life of the soaps. The slats cut into each deck wick water away, allowing soap to dry quickly. Cedar is a rot-resistant hardwood, and will withstand humid, wet conditions.

Many soap dishes do not allow water to drain: soap is kept in standing water causing it to get mushy and dissolve quickly.
